Lady Gaga Has Run-In With Elvis Fans
Fierce words were reportedly exchanged between Lady Gaga's entourage and members of the Viva Las Vegas Elvis Presley Club in Las Vegas Sunday night (Aug. 15), according to The New York Post. The club was holding a vigil to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of Presley's death when a member of Lady Gaga's group reportedly yelled, "He's been dead over 30 years. Get over it!" A verbal quarrel resulted, and according to club president Sue Laurenz, "We're going to stand up for our man." (NY Post)
John Mellencamp Compares Internet to 'Atomic Bomb'
John Mellencamp said that the Internet was the most dangerous invention "since the atomic bomb" at a public seminar at the Grammy Museum on Tuesday (Aug. 17), Reuters reports. "It's destroyed the music business. It's going to destroy the movie business," said the veteran rocker, whose new album, "No Better Than This," was released yesterday. ( Reuters)
