Billboard Bits: Bieber Sports Lakers Championship Ring, Janet Jackson Reveals Breast Binding

Billboard Bits serves up the best bite-sized nuggets of music news and gossip.

Justin Bieber Sports Lakers Championship Ring...But Why?

Don't be fooled by Justin Bieber's latest piece of bling -- the 16-year-old may have game on the basketball court, but he most definitely did not help Kobe Bryant and co. defeat the Boston Celtics last year. Instead Bieber, who is a self-proclaimed Los Angeles Lakers fan, got to borrow his favorite basketball team's championship ring for its season opener against the Houston Rockets this week. Said team exec Jeannie Buss to TNT, "I couldn't say no to Justin Bieber." While sitting courtside with his pal Jaden Smith, Bieber also mingled with such A-listers as David Beckham and Denzel Washington (photos below). Ah, the perks of pop superstardom.

"I was crushed," Rihanna said. "I was really looking forward to it, but she understood." (Extra)
