Smelling like a country/pop superstar is about to get much easier, as Taylor Swift has inked a deal to release her own fragrance line. Swift, who will work with beauty company Elizabeth Arden on the line, will unveil her first fragrance in fall 2011, the company announced today (Nov. 1).
"I have always loved how fragrance can shape a memory the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts," said Swift, who will be involved in all aspects of her debut fragrance, from creating the scent to designing its packaging. "Lately I've been having fun experimenting with combining some of my favorite scents, so I'm really excited about working with Elizabeth Arden to develop my own unique fragrance."
The singer/songwriter will join a long list of music stars who have their own fragrance, from Beyoncé and Britney Spears to Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and Diddy. Spears and Carey also work with Elizabeth Arden on their fragrances. Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Katy Perry have signature scents in the works as well.
"Speak Now," Swift's latest album released Oct. 25, is on the verge of a big debut on this week's Billboard 200.
