Less than six months after last being released from prison, rapper Gucci Mane was arrested in his hometown of Atlanta earlier today for multiple traffic infractions.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, police had to subdue the rapper (real name: Radric Davis) with pepper spray before taking him to Grady Memorial Hospital and later Fulton County Jail.
The rapper has reportedly been charged with driving on the wrong side of the road, damage to government property, running a red light or stop sign, no license, and obstruction, among other charges. Davis was released last May after serving six months for violating his parole, and has previously served stints for drug and assault charges.
Gucci Mane's third studio album, "The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted," is currently No. 54 on the Billboard 200 after debuting at No. 4 last month. The rapper was incarcerated when previous effort "The State vs. Radric Davis" was issued last December.
