Christina Aguilera Getting Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame


Christina Aguilera will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, Nov. 15. The singer is the 2,423rd start to receive a star on the Walk of Fame in the area of recording. The ceremony comes just a little more than a week before Aguilera makes her film debut in "Burlesque," which opens in theaters nationwide on Nov. 24. (Hollywood Chamber)

Darren Criss to Join 'Glee' as Regular Cast Member

In last night's episode of "Glee," viewers saw the debut of a new recurring character named Blaine, played by singer/songwriter/actor Darren Criss. Recent reports claim that positive reception to Criss, who plays Kurt's potential love interest and role model, has inspired show execs to offer Criss a role as a full-fledged cast member, most likely to kick in at the beginning of Glee's third season (Deadline.com)

Phil Collins Reveals Suicidal Thoughts From His Past

In a recent interview, Phil Collins revealed that he's thought about suicide in the past, saying he wouldn't have the stomach for anything painful but would do it via overdose or "something that didn't hurt." Collins cites the words of a comedian from the sixties who committed suicide and left a note saying, "Too many things went wrong too often" as something he thinks about often. However, the singer says that he never went through with the suicide for the sake of his two young sons he is currently raising. (Rolling Stone)

Gaga, Bieber, Beyonce Up for People's Choice Awards


Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Beyonce have all been listed as nominees for the 2011 People's Choice Awards. Both Gaga and Beyonce are nominated for four awards, including Favorite Pop Artist, while their collaboration "Telephone" is nominated for Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video. Bieber is up for Favorite New Artist and Favorite Music Video for "Baby." Other nominees include Bruno Mars, B.o.B. and Katy Perry. (People's Choice)

Rapper Shyne Turns to Orthodox Judaism, Readies New Music


Rapper Shyne may be best remembered as the man who opened fire in a NYC nightclub in 1999, thus entangling his mentor P. Diddy and Diddy's then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez in a battle with the law. But after serving almost nine years in New York prisons, Shyne legally changed his name to Moses Levi and now lives as as Orthodox Jew in Jerusalem. On top of that, he's working on new material, which will natually be inspired by the Torah. (The New York Times)

Possible White Stripes Reunion In The Works

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Jack White revealed that all the rare White Stripes merchandise being sold lately -- including a recently announced White Stripes Merchandise Collection -- could mark a return of the duo. "We thought we'd do a lot of things that we'd never done: a full tour of Canada, a documentary, coffee-table book, live album, a boxed set. It was one long project that took almost three years. Now that we've gotten a lot of that out of our system, Meg and I can get back in the studio and start fresh," White said. (Consequence Of Sound)

Trail Of Our Dead Announce New Album

Austin's ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead announced the Feb. 8 release of their seventh studio album, "Tao of the Dead," today on their own label, Richter Scale Records, and Superball Records. Producer Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House) and Chris "Frenchie" Smith (who has worked with the band previously) worked with Trail of Dead on the record. The album's lead single, "Summer of All Dead Souls," will be out November 29. (Pitchfork)
