For a celebrity with as many outlandish styles as Lady Gaga, one life-like wax figure simply isn't enough. Eight replicas of the pop singer were unveiled today (Dec. 9) at different branches of Madame Tussauds wax museums across the globe, with each figure showcasing one of Gaga's eye-popping outfits.
At the London museum, the Gaga replica displays a sultry gaze while sporting an all-black outfit and her Philip Treacy telephone hat. Meanwhile, the figure in Berlin, Germany shows the pop star rocking a Minnie Mouse hairdo and tan boots that are laced up past her knees.
Other models of Gaga -- who joins Britney Spears, Rihanna and other pop starlets to get the wax treatment -- are also on display in Amsterdam, New York, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The figures were created over four months in West London, with each one costing £150,000, according to British newspaper The Sun.
"As one of the biggest and most unique talents in the world, Lady Gaga is the perfect subject for the biggest and most ambitious figure launch in our history," said a spokesman for Madame Tussauds. "We have selected eight very distinct Lady Gaga styles, working with her favorite designers to ensure the looks are spot on."
