Is Kim Kardashian Collaborating With Kanye West?
Kim Kardashian, who is supposedly working with The-Dream on her debut album, may have another rap collaboration up her sleeve -- with Kanye West. The two were spotted Tuesday (Dec. 28) outside a Culver City, Calif. recording studio, though not together. Reports suggest that the two were collaborating on Kardashian's first music video, which is tied to legendary director Hype Williams. If she's not working with Kanye, then something excting must be going down -- Kardashian's Twitter account confirmed as much. "OMG u guys have no idea what I'm doing today! You are gonna DIE!!!!" she tweeted Tuesday, adding that she was nervous but that it "feels so good to overcome a fear." She added throughout the day: "It's going down in here!!! Will twitpic soon! Lady Gaga Spends Holiday Weekend in Nebraska
Lady Gaga would stick out like some crazy city slicker in most Midwestern towns, but that didn't seem to bother her one bit this past weekend. The singer spent an extended holiday weekend in Omaha, Nebraska, with boyfriend Luc Carl, whose family lives in the area. Reportedly sporting her usual get-up of leotards and ripped fishnets, Gaga and her beau hit up local bars, restaurants and even a fish market. Needless to say, most locals were surprised. (Omaha.com)
Merle Haggard Defends Willie Nelson's Pot-Smoking Ways
As a performer who's been aoutspoken about the legalization of marijuana for quite a while, it seems only fitting for recent Kennedy Center honoree Merle Haggard to come to the defense of his friend Willie Nelson, who was arrested for marijuana possession last month. "I think it's silly to put someone in jail for [marijuana possession]," the country legend said in a recent interview, also introducing a theory into the mix: "I think it's a threat to the pharmaceutical industry that you can go to the garden to grow something that might keep you from having to use Lipitor." Usher's 'OMG' Faces 'Simpsons' Rip-Off Rumors
Morning radio show Y101 recently pointed out eerie similarties between Usher's Will.i.am-penned club-banger "OMG" and a "Simpsons" Christmas song that aired in a 2003 episode. The two songs, which feature similar beats and the line "wow, wow, wow," have been mashed-up for comparing and contrasting. Listen for yourself. (Idolator)
