Guitarist Eddy Shaver, 38, who was partnered with his father, country singer-songwriter Billy Joe Shaver, in the group Shaver, died of undetermined causes Sunday in Waco, Texas.

Guitarist Eddy Shaver, 38, who was partnered with his father, country singer-songwriter Billy Joe Shaver, in the group Shaver, died of undetermined causes Sunday in Waco, Texas. He recorded five albums with his father for Zoo/Praxis, Justice, and New West Records; a new Shaver studio album, "The Earth Rolls On," is due March 20 on New West. The younger Shaver also toured and recorded with Dwight Yoakam, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Guy Clark, and others. He is survived by his father and his wife, Irene. Funeral services are set for tomorrow (Jan. 4) in Waco.
