Veteran rapper KRS-One (real name: Kris Parker) is gearing up for the release of "The Sneak Attack," his first studio album in four years. The set, KRS-One's first for indie label Front Page Recordings, will hit stores in late March via Koch Entertainment's newly launched hip-hop imprint, In The Paint.

"The Sneak Attack" is the follow-up to last year's greatest hits collection, "KRS-One: A Retrospective," released on his former label, Jive Records. Produced by Grand Daddy I.U. and Jazzy Jeff of the Funky Four, the new album's first single, "Hot," is due to hit radio early next month.

KRS-One's last album, 1997's "I Got Next" (Jive), debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 416, 000 copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan.
