The onset of 2001 has brought the announcement of several superstar artist tours in the coming months. But nne is more anticipated than U2's "Elevation" tour, according to a recent Billboard.com poll. The event garnered 45.8% of 4,676 votes as the tour fans are most excited about, with Madonna's planned but as-yet-unscheduled tour finishing a distant second wit 16.1%.

Next was the Outkast/Ludacris pairing, with 9.5%, followed by Backstreet Boys (7.3%), and the matchbox twenty/Everclear/Lifehouse double-bill (6.8%). Rounding out the voting were tours from Eric Clapton (3.6%), Oasis/Black Crowes (3.3%), Erykah Bdu/Musiq Soulchild (3%), and the George Strait Country Music Festival (2.8%). The Barenaked Ladies' tour finished in the cellar, with 1.8% of the votes.
