Atlantic Records has signed a worldwide pact with L.A.-based R&B/hip-hop label Soulife Recordings, Billboard Bulletin reports. The long-term deal calls for Soulife to independently sign, develop, and oversee new artists' recordings, with Atlantic providing manufacturing, marketing, and distribution. The first Soulife/Atlantic release will be "Your Woman," the debut album by Charlotte, N.C.-based singer/songwriter Sunshine Anderson, who is managed by Epic artist Macy Gray. It bows May 15.

Soulife was launched in 1998 by Chris Dawley and producer Mark Sparks (Salt 'N Pepa, Guru, Donell Jones). In addition to Anderson, the roster features Anthony Hamilton and Whoz Who.
