The Wellwater Conspiracy, a band featuring ex-Soundgarden/current Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron and former Monster Magnet guitarist John Paul McBain, has signed to TVT Records. The band, which formed in 1996, is expected to release its third album, "The Scroll & Its Combinations," this spring.

According to Pearl Jam's official Web site, Eddie Vedder will serve as a guest vocalist on the new album, perhaps under an assumed name. Vedder sang two songs with Wellwater Conspiracy when the latter group opened the final show of Pearl Jam's North American tour in Seattle last November. One of them, "Felicity's Surprise," has been tapped to appear on "The Scroll & Its Combinations."

Cameron's ex-bandmate in Soundgarden, guitarist Kim Thayil, also guests on the new album. Wellwater Conspiracy is planning a spring tour in support of the set.

The band's previous albums, 1997's "Declaration Of Conformity" and 1999's "Brotherhood Of Electric: Operational Directives," were released on Third Gear Records and Time Bomb Recordings, respectively.
