Mary J. Blige and Lil' Kim, known for success on the music charts, have set a new fundraising record for the M.A.C. AIDS Fund. The R&B stars helped to raise $4 million for people suffering from HIV and AIDS, the most the fund has ever raised in one year. This pushes the total the fund has raised since its 1994 inception to almost $20 million, according to John Demsey, president of M.A.C.

Blige and Lil' Kim star in M.A.C. Cosmetics' Viva Glam III fund-raising and advertising campaign, which is built around a plum-brown lipstick. M.A.C. recently re-signed both singers for the next phase of the initiative. The new ad visual will appear in M.A.C. store windows in April.

The M.A.C. AIDS Fund supports more that 400 AIDS-related organizations.
