Grammy nominated R&B vocalist Macy Gray has been drafted as the opening act for 13 stadium shows on Dave Matthews Band's upcoming U.S. tour. She will join the group beginning May 18 in San Francisco and will remain until the trek's first leg closes July 15 in Dallas. Gray's top-5 single "I Try" is up for three Grammys, including record and song of the year. The artist has also been confirmed as a performer for tomorrow (Feb. 21) night's Grammy ceremonies in Los Angeles.
In other DMB news, the aforementioned tour has grown by a handful of shows. A second show was added for May 12 in Houston, a new date is on tap for May 14 in Albuquerque, and a two-night stand June 22-23 in Camden, N.J., has replaced the previously TBA June 22 date in Philadelphia.
