Acclaimed Brazilian vocalist Virginia Rodrigues will team with rising Brazilian star Moreno Veloso for a North American tour, set to kick off March 20 in Los Angeles and wrap April 12 in Washington, D.C. The trek will be the first ever in the region for Veloso, the son of veteran artist Caetano Veloso, and comes in support of his Hannibal debut album "Music Typewriter."

The elder Veloso appears on the album, as does Daniel Jobim, son of late Brazilian icon Antonio Carlos Jobim. For the tour, Moreno will be backed by bassist Alexandre Kassin and drummer Domenico Lancelloti. Rodrigues is out in support of her 1999 Hannibal set "Nos," on which Caetano Veloso served as "artistic director."
