Blues-leaning rock outfit G. Love & Special Sauce will kick off a tour tonight (March 6) in Norfolk, Va., in support of its fifth Epic album, "The Electric Mile" (due April 24). The trek currently runs through a March 31 date in Toledo, Ohio, but additional dates are expected to be added.

"The Electric Mile" is the follow-up to 1999's "Philadelphonic," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. First single "Unified," written by group frontman G. Love and Ras of the Long Beach Dub Allstars, is due to hit radio March 20. Among the special guests are Morphine drummer Billy Conway and keyboardist John Medeski of Medeski Martin & Wood.
