BS2000, the side project of Beastie Boy principal Adam Horovitz and Amery "AWOL" Smith, will begin their first-ever North American tour on April 3 in Minneapolis. The short trek comes in support of the group's second full-length release, "Simply Mortified" (Grand Royal), and will find the duo backed by two additional musicians.

The 20-track set is at times funky and silly, from the Casio-driven "The Mosh," to the organ-addled "Sick For A Reason," and "The Side To Side," featuring vocals by Smith's 10-year-old nice. The band's only prior release is a 1997 self-titled album that is now out of print.

April 10: Pittsburgh (Beehive)
