Radiohead have confirmed details of the first U.K. single from its upcoming "Amnesiac" album and a major outdoor appearance in England this summer. "Pyramid Song," to be released by Parlophone in the U.K. on May 21, will be the band's first commercial single in the territory since "No Surprises" appeared as the last release from "OK Computer" in January 1998, reaching No. 4.

No North American release date could be determined at deadline. "Amnesiac," the follow-up to last year's chart-topping "Kid A," is due June 5 internationally.

On July 7, Radiohead will headline an outdoor, all-day music event at South Park in the Headington district of their hometown, Oxford. The rest of the bill, featuring special guests and local acts (tipped to include Supergrass), will be announced later. Tickets go on sale Friday (March 16).

The confirmation adds to the growing number of festival dates the band will hit this summer, including Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring in Germany (June 1-3) and Pinkpop in Landgraaf, Holland (June 4). As previously reported, Radiohead will proceed to North America later this summer, for its first full-scale tour there since 1998.
