Rhino Records has set a summer release for the two-disc INXS collection "Shine Like It Does (1979-1997): The INXS Anthology." Though none of the 42 tracks are previously unreleased, they do encompass the band's hits, B-sides, alternate mixes, and songs that have never before been available on CD, including the group's first single and its B-side, "Simple Simon" and "We Are The Vegatables." The set will also contain "Good Times," which was previously only available on the soundtrack to "The Lost Boys."

"Anthology" includes in-depth liner notes featuring an essay by Rolling Stone senior editor David Fricke, new interviews, and track-by-track commentary by the group. A Rhino spokesperson also confirmed that INXS is planning to tour later this year, although the group will not be replacing former leader Michael Hutchence, who committed suicide in the winter of 1997.

INXS had to cancel four shows in New Zealand last August due to poor ticket sales. The dates were intended to showcase guest vocalist Jon Stevens, who performed with the band at the closing ceremonies of last year's Olympic Games in Sydney. Columbia TriStar Productions Australia is currently readying an INXS documentary.
