Modern rock veterans Echo & The Bunnymen will release a new single, "It's Alright," on April 23rd via Cooking Vinyl. The cut will be released on two limited-edition CDs and a colored vinyl 7-inch with new and exclusive extra tracks. It will precede the band's new album, "Flowers," which is slated for a May release. The Bunnymen will embark on a U.K. tour later that month.

"Flowers," which will be released by Spin Art in North America, is the Bunnymen's third full-length since the 1997 "comeback" album "Evergreen" hit shelves after a seven-year hiatus. The set was recorded in Liverpool by principals Will Seargent and Ian McCulloch along with new band members Alex Gleave (bass), Vinny Jamieson (drums), and Ceri James (keyboards).

Meanwhile, McCulloch is set to record a solo album in June for the U.K.-based Jeepster label. The following month, Rhino plans to release a four-CD retrospective which will contain previously unheard material, live recordings, singles, and b-sides from the band's two-decade career.
