Hip-hop pioneer KRS-One will head out on the road next month on a tour with In The Paint/Koch Records labelmate Afu-Ra in tow. The run, which kicks off April 1 in Boston, will also feature a number of lecture stops for KRS, in addition to the performance dates. Lectures are scheduled in Philadelphia, Chapel Hill, N.C., and Atlanta during the tour, which currently lists dates through an April 21 stop in Dallas, although additional dates are planned.

KRS-One will on April 24 release his first studio album in nearly five years, "The Sneak Attack" (Front Page Entertainment/In The Paint/Koch). The set is led by the single "Hot," the video for which is in rotation on BET and MTV2's "Rap Box."

Released last October, Afu-Ra's album "Body Of The Life Force" debuted at No. 42 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and has sold 51,000 copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan.
