Acclaimed U.K. electronic duo Autechre will begin a North American tour on May 4 in New York, in support of its forthcoming Warp album "Confield." The album, the group's first release since last year's "Peel Session 2," is due May 1 in North America and a day earlier internationally. Additional dates are expected to be added in the coming weeks.
As previously reported, a handful of dates intersect with Tortoise's North American tour, including a May 26 stop at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival. The two groups will also perform at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival, set for April 6-8 in Camber Sands, U.K. Autechre previously handled remix duties for Tortoise's "Ten-Day Interval" on a 12" single, released in 1998 by Thrill Jockey.
