American Hi-Fi, Saliva, and Sum-41 have been drafted for MTV's annual Campus Invasion tour, which will hit 11 college campuses beginning tonight at Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y. American Hi-Fi is enjoying success with its self-titled Island debut, which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart this week.

The group is led by former Letters To Cleo/Veruca Salt drummer Stacy Jones, who abandoned the drums for guitar, vocal, and songwriting duties this time around.

When it came time to record, "it was scary," he admitted to Billboard recently. "When we finally got into the studio and were doing it, it was like, "Holy shit, what have I gotten myself into?' Because it became my responsibility. These were my songs; I had to sing them, and I had to decide, ultimately, how I wanted them to sound."

As for Saliva, the group is on the road in support of latest Island album "Every Six Seconds," released on Tuesday. Labelmates Sum-41 are touring behind their debut album "Half Hour Of Power," released last June.
