Sigur Ros Inks Deal With MCA Subsidiary

Icelandic ambient rock outfit Sigur Ros has signed a North American licensing deal with MCA subsidiary Pias. The first release under the deal will be a reissue of the group's recent album "Agaetis Byrjun"; future Sigur Ros releases will be licensed to Pias in North America by Fat Cat, the group's U.K. label. A new album is expected next year.

As previously reported, Sigur Ros is currently on tour internationally and will touch down for its first-ever North American gig April 28 at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif.
