Up-and-coming Canadian vocalist Nelly Furtado has been added to the Area One festival, Billboard.com has learned. As first reported here, the event is the brainchild of Moby and his management team, and will feature the artist as well as Outkast, the Root s, New Order, Incubus, Paul Oakenfold, and Carl Cox on various dates. The festival will tour North America from July 11 to Aug. 5; full details will be announced Monday (April 23) in New York.

Furtado is on the road in support of her DreamWorks debut "Wh oa, Nelly!," which posted a 48-31 jump on The Billboard 200 this week. The vocalist, who will play Calgary, Alberta, tomorrow, will also be heard guesting on Missy Elliott's new single "Get Ur Freak On," a remix of which will be included on Elektra's "Tom b Raider" soundtrack.
