Modern rock veterans Stone Temple Pilots will on June 26 release "Shangri-La Dee Da," their fifth studio album for Atlantic. Brendan O'Brien, who has produced all of STP's previous albums, was again behind the boards for the new set.

According to the group's official Web site, "Shangri-La" has "an equal balance of hard rockers, mid-tempo pop songs and ballads, a few of which have Latin influences." Songs slated for inclusion are "About a Fool," "Bipolar Bear," "Days of the Week," and "Hollywood Bitch."

While recording in a Malibu, Calif., house converted into a studio, the group was the subject of a documentary filmed by the sibling team of Rebecca and Chapman Baehler. The film is expected to be released later this year.

As previously reported, STP and Live will co-headline the Rolling Rock Town Fair on Aug. 4 in Latrobe, Pa. A full tour in support of "Shangri-La" is expected in the coming months.

"Shangri-La Dee Da" is the follow-up to 1999's "No. 4," which peaked at No. 6 on The Billboard 200 and featured the top-10 Modern Rock Tracks chart hits "Sour Girl" (No. 3) and "Down" (No. 9).
