Mark Chesnutt, Trick Pony, Tanya Tucker, Chris Cagle, and the Kentucky Headhunters are among the country acts who will perform at the 19th annual Budweiser Downtown Hoedown, set for May 18-20 at Detroit's Hart Plaza. Mark McGuinn, the Clark Family Experience, Sara Evans, Darryl Worley, Sawyer Brown, Kortney Kayle, and a number of local acts will also be on the bill for the free concert.

Proceeds will benefit the Detroit Recreation Department's programs for city youth, including summer day camps and sports clinics. The event is a part of Detroit's summer-long 300th birthday celebration, which will also feature a free concert by R&B legend Stevie Wonder on July 21 in Hart Plaza.

A host of other music-related events are planned, including "Concert of Colors: Tricentennial Diversity Festival," "Jazz Detroit: Swing, Bop & Beyond," and a July 22 concert with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
