Iggy Pop, who was among the featured performers at last weekend's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., will in July release his latest studio album, "Beat 'Em Up" (Virgin). The self-produced album follows 1999's "Avenue B," which has sold just 15,000 copies in the U.S. to date, according to SoundScan.

Backing Pop on the set are guitarists Pete Marshall and Whitey Kirst (who both played on "Avenue B"), former Nymphs drummer Alex Kirst, and late Body Count bassist Lloyd "Mooseman" Roberts, who was murdered in a drive-by shooting in February. Marshall will play bass on Pop's upcoming tour.

Pop has a handful of U.S. dates scheduled in mid-May, as well as a berth on several European festival bills this summer. A full U.S. tour is being scheduled.
