Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg will star in the upcoming film "The Wash" as mismatched roommates and fellow employees at a car wash, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The feature, written and directed by D.J. Pooh ("3 Strikes"), will begin production on Monday (May 7) and is expected in theaters this winter.

The film will be executive produced by Dre and Snoop, and produced by Pooh's Lithium Entertainment and Lions Gate Films. Both rappers will be featured on the film's soundtrack, which will be released jointly by their respective labels, Aftermath and Doggie Style.

"'The Wash' is a hilarious script, and D.J. Pooh knows how to work this kind of comedy better than anyone," Lions Gate president Michael Paseornek tells the Reporter. "This is a dream project that will appeal to a very wide audience."

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg -- who recently finished shooting the Warner Bros. film "Training Day" with Denzel Washington -- will also appear on fellow rapper Warren G's upcoming Universal Records debut, Billboard Bulletin reports. Other guests lined-up for G's fourth album include Eminem and George Clinton.
