This summer, Elektra will release a series of six complete live Phish performances from throughout the band's career, under the "Live Phish" banner. Hopes are that the series will be an ongoing project, with six CDs released at a time.

"At this point, we're hard at work finalizing the six shows and preparing them for release," the band writes on its official Web site. "If a multi-track version of a chosen show exists, we will be doing a full mix of the show -- if the show only exists on two track analog or digital tape, it will be released au natural -- all shows will then be mastered."

The site promises an "innovating packaging approach" for the performances, details of which have yet to be announced. A release date for the first batch of shows is also pending. As previously reported, Phish is on a hiatus of undetermined length, but its members remain busy with other projects. Foremost among them is guitarist/vocalist Trey Anastasio's summer tour, which kicks off July 11 in San Diego.
