Universal has confirmed that Safri Duo will share a stage with Aqua between the two halves of the Eurovision Song Contest Saturday night (May 12) in Copenhagen. Safri Duo will perform a brief version of its hit, "Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song)," as an intro to Aqua's 8-minute medley of hits. "Played-A-Live" is No. 7 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart this week.

The label announced earlier in the year that Aqua would perform at the contest, but waited until the last minute to spring the surprise appearance of Safri Duo. Aqua is finishing up its third album, which is due in the fall and will be preceded by a single this summer. Both label and the band had hoped to present some new material at Eurovision, but later changed their plans.

The 38,000-seat Danish national stadium Parken has been sold out for months, not just for the show itself but for the dress rehearsal tomorrow (May 11). Around 150 million TV viewers are expected to tune in around the world.
