Cable channel HBO will broadcast "Madonna Live: The Drowned World Tour," from the Detroit concert stop on the singer's summer tour. The show is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. EDT on Aug. 26 from The Palace at Auburn Hills. The tour is Madonna's first in eight years, and comes in support of her latest Maverick album "Music," which is No. 89 on The Billboard 200 this week.

In 1993, HBO aired a concert from the singer's last tour, "Madonna -- Live Down Under: The Girlie Show." Her first HBO special was 1990's "Madonna -- Live! Blond Ambition World Tour 90."

All 14 shows that have gone on sale for the North American portion of the upcoming tour have sold out. To meet demand, three shows have been added at New York's Madison Square Garden (July 28, 30-31) and two have been added at Los Angeles' Staples Center (Sept. 13-14). These new dates go on sale Wednesday (May 30).
