David Hollister is resting after being hospitalized earlier this week for chest pains and exhaustion. The R&B singer was hospitalized in Atlanta on Saturday after he collapsed before a scheduled performance at a radio concert, his publicist says. He was released from the hospital on Tuesday.

"He is resting at home with his lovely wife and children and following doctor's orders for bed rest," Hollister's manager Donnie Harrell said in a statement. "Dave and his family would like to thank all of the fans and well-wishers for their prayers and support."

Hollister is a former member of the group Blackstreet and his latest DreamWorks album, "Chicago '85 ... The Movie," has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for U.S. shipments of 500,000 copies. The album debuted last December at No. 10 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and at No. 49 on The Billboard 200.
