Hip-hop kingpin Sean Combs will release a new album, "P. Diddy & the Bad Boy Family ... The Saga Continues," July 10 on his own Bad Boy label. The star-studded set features contributions from 112, Faith Evans, Black Rob, Carl Thomas, and production team the Neptunes, as well as up-and-comers the Hoodfellaz, Marc Curry, Kaine, and Cheri Denis.

The album was originally intended to be a compilation, but evolved into a full-fledged Combs release. The artist produced 10 of the 17 tracks on "Saga," which is the follow-up to the 1999 album "Forever." That set reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 2 on The Billboard 200.

"I wanted to get back to making music that keeps people dancing," Combs said in a statement. "I've definitely put my best into this album -- it's the essence of me and the soul of Bad Boy. I want the music to speak for itself."

First single "Let's Get It" is No. 18 on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles chart and No. 84 on The Billboard Hot 100 this week. "Bad Boy 4 Life," featuring Black Rob and Curry, is at radio now.

Combs is also involved with the forthcoming Bad Boy gospel album "Sean 'Puffy' Combs & Hezekiah Walker Present ... Thank You," due later this summer. The album features contributions from Evans, Thomas, Kelly Price, Brandy, Brian McKnight, Walker, and more.

In late August, Combs and a number of artists from the Bad Boy camp will be in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, for the Jamaican heritage festival Sashi Experience 2001. Lil' Bow Wow, Trina, and Tyrese will also be on hand.
