The high prices of concert tickets will keep many music fans at home and not in the arenas this summer, according to a recently completed Billboard.com poll. 49% of 2,671 respondents said there are few artists worth spending upwards of $250 to see, while another 31% noted that their money can be better spent on other forms of entertainment.

Conversely, 13% of the voters said that artists such as Madonna and Janet Jackson are worth going to see at any price, as they do not tour very often. A small minority, 8%, felt that higher ticket prices are justified as the cost of putting on a spectacular concert has risen greatly in recent years.

What do you think has the best chance of being the "unofficial ubiquitous song of the summer" for the 2001 season? Let your opinion be counted in a new poll already underway in The Voting Booth.
