Rapper-turned-actor Ice Cube and Johnny Knoxville, star of MTV's "Jackass," are in negotiations to star in the DreamWorks buddy picture "Big Ticket," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film -- described as a docudrama-style, real-time action film about a prison escapee (Ice Cube) who takes hostage a business executive (Knoxville) obsessed with car chases -- is scheduled to begin production next year. The film was written by Jim Herzfeld, who found success with his script for last year's "Meet the Parents," which starred Robert DeNiro and Ben Stiller.

Ice Cube has been busy in Hollywood of late, and will soon be seen in theaters in New Line's "All About the Benjamins" and Screen Gems' "Ghost of Mars." Knoxville is currently working with director Barry Sonnenfeld on DreamWorks' "Men in Black 2," and will be seen next in Disney's "Big Trouble."
