As expected, MTV's star-studded 20th anniversary celebration is growing by leaps and bounds. The latest artists confirmed to perform during the Aug. 1 "MTV20: Live and Almost Legal" show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom include Sean Combs, Kid Rock, Ja Rule, Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst, Rob Halford, Tommy Lee, and Naughty by Nature.

As previously reported, Mariah Carey, Jane's Addiction, TLC, Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Run-DMC, Billy Idol, Sum-41, and the Neptunes are also scheduled to appear.

The event will be hosted by "Total Request Live" host Carson Daly, and will feature appearances by the network's five original VJs -- Martha Quinn, Mark Goodman, Nina Blackwood, Alan Hunter, and JJ Jackson, as well as a host of artists from the past two decades.

"MTV20: Live and Almost Legal" will air live Aug. 1 on MTV and MTV2 beginning at 8 p.m. ET, and will be preceded by a 12-hour block of videos and other programming culled from the network's history dubbed "MTV20: Buggles to Bizkit."
