Tool has tacked on 10 more shows to its fall North American tour, which, as previously reported, will kick off Sept. 6 in St. Paul, Minn. No support act for the first 11 shows has been announced, but experimental rock outfit Fantomas is due to join the tour from Sept. 20-Oct. 6.

Tool's short tour with progressive rock icons King Crimson closed last night (Aug. 15) in San Diego. The tour saw Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp play material from his solo "Soundscapes" project at a show in Berkeley, Calif., and also found Tool drummer Danny Carey guesting on Crimson's "Frame by Frame" at a show in Los Angeles.

Tool is touring in support of its latest Volcano album "Lateralus," which is No. 51 on The Billboard 200 in its 13th week on the chart. The single "Schism" is No. 2 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and No. 3 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks tally this week.
