Artemis Records has signed 30 Odd Foot of Grunts, the band that features actor Russell Crowe on vocals and guitar, Billboard Bulletin reports. The album "Bastard Life of Clarity," previously available outside of Australia only on the Internet, will be released Sept. 11 in the U.S. First single "Sail Those Same Oceans" has shipped to triple-A radio.

Besides Crowe, the band consists of lead guitarist Dean Cochran, bassist Garth Adam, drummer Dave Kelly, guitarist/vocalist Dave Wilkins, and trumpet player/vocalist Stewart Kirwan. "Bastard" is the band's first full studio album, following the EPs "The Photograph Kills" and "What's Her Name?," and the mostly live release, "Gaslight," which has been available in the U.S. exclusively though Austin, Texas' Waterloo Records.
