Singer/songwriter Shelby Lynne has set a Nov. 13 release date for her next Island/Def Jam album, "Love, Shelby." The 13-song set was produced by Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews Band) and will be led by first single "Wall In Your Heart." The album is the follow-up to 2000's "I Am Shelby Lynne," which hit No. 6 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and won Lynne the best new artist Grammy this spring.

Other tracks set for "Love, Shelby" include a cover of John Lennon's "Mother" and "Killin' Kind," which appeared this spring on Island's "Bridget Jones' Diary" soundtrack. Lynne's official Web site confirms that she will perform "Mother" at the upcoming John Lennon tribute concert in New York, which was first reported here earlier this week.

Ballard praised Lynne's musical diversity, telling Billboard during the album sessions that, "my approach has always been 'Let's give this song what it deserves; let's not try to make it something that it isn't or make it into something that people expect.' Just honor the song. I'm going through it with Shelby now. She has a tremendous stylistic range, from old-school, almost Barry White R&B, to hardcore punk, rockabilly and everything in between."
