Beatles fans with a ticket to ride will soon be able to book themselves into Liverpool's Hard Day's Night Hotel. The hotel, scheduled to open in 2003, will feature 120 rooms, each with a mural relating to the Fab Four.

"Every mural will be based on a member of the Beatles or an important song or place associated with the band," said Shannon, the Los Angeles-based mural artist commissioned to decorate the hotel.

The new hotel is financed in part by a $3.3 million grant from the European Regional Development Fund. It will occupy a restored downtown building near the site of the Cavern Club, where the young Beatles played some of their earliest gigs. It will be connected at basement level with the new Cavern, a replica of the original club.
