Jay-Z To Tour Behind 'The Blueprint'
Multi-platinum rapper Jay-Z is planning a U.S. theater tour in support of his forthcoming Roc-A-Fella album, "The Blueprint." The tour will feature support performances by fellow Roc-A-Fella artists Beanie Sigel and Memphis Bleek. Las month, Sigel's "The Reason" debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200. Just two weeks later, the artist was arrested and charged with assault in his hometown of Philadelphia.
"The Blueprint" will be Jay-Z's third album in two years. The two sets he released in 2000, January's "Vol. 3...Life and Times of Shawn Carter" and November's "The Dynasty Roc La Familia (2000 --)," debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200, as did his 1998 release "Vol. 2...the Hard Knock Life."
"IZZO (H.O.V.A.)," the first single from "The Blueprint," is currently at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
