The Avalanches took five honors at the Australian Dance Music Awards last night at Sydney's Metro Theatre, Billboard Bulletin reports. The eclectic act received awards for best live act, album, single, debut act, video, and turntablist. The act's album "Since I Left You" has sold nearly 250,000 copies worldwide; it will be released Oct. 16 in the U.S through Sire.

Other winners included Paulmac (best producer), Resin Dogs (best hip hop act) Vicious Vinyl (independent label), In The Mix (dance website), Vibes On a Summer's Day (best event). DJ/producer Stephen Allkins, aka Love Tattoo, was honored with the award for outstanding contribution to dance music.

Last year's event honored Vicious Grooves as best debut act and Madison Avenue's "Don't Call Me Baby" as best single.
