Alanis Morissette, Blues Traveler's John Popper and Chan Kinchla, Michael Franti and Spearhead, and Joe Henry will perform at a Sept. 25 benefit concert at Washington, D.C.'s D.A.R. Constitution Hall. Proceeds from the concert, to be hosted by Gloria Steinem, will benefit Voters for Choice, the nation's largest independent political action committee working in support of reproductive rights. Tickets go on sale Friday (Sept. 7) through Ticketmaster.

"With the assistance of Alanis Morissette, Blues Traveler, Spearhead, and Joe Henry, Voters for Choice is sending a clear message to the nation that George W. Bush and an anti-choice Congress have gone too far," Steinem said in a statement. "This concert is our call to action and kicks off a year of organizing to elect a pro-choice Congress which will protect this fundamental human right."

Constitution Hall has played host to several prior Voters for Choice concerts, two of which were headlined by Pearl Jam. The 1995 edition also featured Neil Young, L7, and Lisa Germano, while the 1998 performance included support from Hovercraft. Other performers over the years have included Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, Indigo Girls, and Melissa Etheridge.
