Cypress Hill has canceled the San Francisco date of its Smoke Out festival, and has expanded the lineup for the Los Angeles show instead. Cancellation of the San Francisco date, which was scheduled for Oct. 13, was necessitated due to previous venue commitments to Major League Baseball, which has rescheduled several games at the Oakland Coliseum in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Cypress Hill's first attempt at expanding the annual festival (now in its fourth year) from a single day to multiple days in various cities has met a number of snags already, as organizers earlier this month were forced to postpone a planned date for Holmdel, N.J., originally scheduled for tomorrow (Sept. 29).

An Oct. 21 show in Honolulu, Hawaii will continue as planned, while the Oct. 6 date in Los Angeles has now been expanded to include many of the performers who would have played in San Francisco. The Roadrunner Road Rage tour featuring Machine Head, Chimaira, Ill Nino, and Fear Factory will join the festivities at the Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion, as will the likes of Boo Yaa Tribe, MC Supernatural, DJ Swamp, Richard "Humpty" Vission, and Liquid Todd.

Performers already scheduled for the Los Angeles date include Cypress Hill, Deftones, Busta Rhymes, Redman, Method Man, Suicidal Tendencies, and Afroman. The Honolulu date will feature Cypress Hill, Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies, Guttermouth, and Kottonmouth Kings.
