Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, and John Mellencamp will perform at the 2001 VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards, set for Oct. 23 at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The event, which will be broadcast live on VH1, will also feature appearances by No Doubt's Gwen Stefani, hip-hop stars Sean "P. Diddy" Combs and Lil' Kim, Nelly Furtado, Courtney Love, and Enrique Iglesias, among others.

Awards will be presented in 11 music and fashion categories, including most stylish group and model of the year. Nominees for the Visionary Video category, won last year by Smashing Pumpkins' "Stand Inside Your Love," were selected by voters on VH1.com.

This year's nominees include: U2's "Beautiful Day," Radiohead's "Knives Out," Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice," Aerosmith's "Jaded," Everclear's "AM Radio," Moby and Stefani's "South Side," and Dave Matthews Band's "I Did It."

Kravitz, Destiny's Child, and Kid Rock performed at last year's ceremony, while Jennifer Lopez was honored with the Versace Award for the individual "who best continues to represent the boundless energy, infinite creativity and fearlessness that was [late designer Gianni] Versace. That award is not being given out this year.
