Chart-topping rapper DMX will embark on a 15-city free tour of North America, dubbed Hoodstock and set to kick off Oct. 12 in Washington, D.C. The shows, which will be organized in conjunction with radio stations in each city, will be staged on an 18-wheel flatbed truck. As previously reported, DMX's new Def Jam album, "The Great Depression," is due Oct. 23.

Exact locations will be revealed on the day of the show, during which DMX is expected to play tracks from throughout his career. The new album's first single, "We Right Here," is No. 20 on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles chart this week.
