Award-winning film/music video director Brett Ratner will be making an exclusive appearance as a guest speaker Nov. 1 at the Billboard Music Video Conference. Ratner will give a speech at the conference's Billboard Music Video/Short Film Showcase, which will take place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Ratner is considered one of the hottest directors in Hollywood. His feature films include "Rush Hour" and "Rush Hour 2," currently the No. 1 comedy of the year. Ratner -- who has also directed "The Family Man" and "Money Talks" -- is set to direct "Red Dragon," the next film in the "Silence of the Lambs" series, starring Academy Award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins.

The director has also helmed hit videos for such artists as Madonna, Jay-Z, D'Angelo, Mariah Carey, and Mary J. Blige.

Now in its 23rd year, the Billboard Music Video Conference is the largest annual trade event for professionals involved in the visual marketing of music. This year's conference will take place Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at the Beverly Hilton.
