Madonna's recent HBO live concert broadcast will be released Nov. 13 on DVD and VHS by Maverick/Warner Bros./Warner-Reprise Video. Captured by more than 20 cameras, "The Drowned World Tour" extravaganza features 23 songs from the breadth of the artist's storied career.

As previously reported, the release of the special coincides with the release of "GHV2," Madonna's second greatest hits album. The 15-track set, which picks up where 1990's "The Immaculate Collection" left off, is due out the same day as "The Drowned World Tour."

Recorded Aug. 26 in front of a sold-out crowd at the Palace at Auburn Hills (Mich.), outside of Madonna's hometown of Detroit, the concert included renditions of the hits "Beautiful Stranger," "Ray of Light," "Holiday," "Music," and "La Isla Bonita," among others. The event was produced by Marty Callner and directed by Hamish Hamilton.

In 1993, HBO aired a concert from the singer's last tour, "Madonna -- Live Down Under: The Girlie Show," from Sydney, which was also subsequently released on home video formats. Her first HBO special was 1990's "Madonna -- Live! Blond Ambition World Tour 90," which was presented from Nice on the French Riviera on the last night of that tour.
