The Barenaked Ladies are the latest addition to Music Without Borders Live, the Oct. 21 benefit concert at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. The pop act will join previously announced artists Alanis Morissette, the Tragically Hip, Our Lady Peace, and Bruce Cockburn. Each artist is expected to play a 40 minute set during the show, which will air live on Canadian music network MuchMusic.

The event will benefit the United Nations Donor Alert Appeal, which benefits the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, UNICEF, and the World Food Program. Tickets went on sale Saturday, and were still available through Ticketmaster Canada at deadline.

In other Barenaked Ladies news, the group has scheduled a handful of Northeastern U.S. tour dates, set to begin Nov. 17 in Portland, Maine, and close Nov. 30 in New York. The seven scheduled dates will offer fans the chance to see the band in venues much smaller than the outdoor amphitheaters the group played through its summer tour, most notably the New York finale at the 3,200-capacity Roseland Ballroom.
